Recycling in Alpharetta is easy!

BFI, the third-party contractor who also handles trash pickup, also is in charge of recycling. It is included in trash pickup service, and you simply follow the standard procedure of sorting your recyclables into the appropriate bins or bags when you leave them on the curbside on the trash pickup day.

Please rinse your recyclables prior to placing them out for pickup.

The following materials may be recycled:

- Aluminum and tin cans
- Glass
- Newspaper
- Catalogs
- All #1 and #2 plastic containers
- Magazines
- White or colored paper
- Chipboard boxes (cereal, soda, cracker, detergent boxes)
- Corrugated cardboard (broken down to 2 x 2 size in order to fit into the recycling bin)
